Registering for free school meals could raise an extra £1,300 for your child’s school, to fund valuable support like extra tuition, additional teaching staff or after school activities. This additional money is available from central government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the welfare benefits listed below. It is therefore important to sign up for free school meals, even if your child is in Foundation, Y1 or Y2, so that your child’s school receives as much funding as possible. This funding also applies to children in the following categories: ’Forces’ children and children ’Looked after by the Local Authority’. ARE YOU currently in receipt of:-
Income support - Income Based Jobseekers Allowance - Income Related Employment & Support Allowance - Child Tax Credit (earning no more than £16,190 per annum) - Guarantee element of State Pension Credit - Support via Part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999 if so, you could get £100 of 'virtual money' to spend on your child in school under our Project 100 scheme. We can register you for the additional funding immediately - It's easy! Just call into the Office to register your interest and we will help you to complete the relevant forms and ensure that they are processed quickly.
